Although internationalism is a mandatory requirement for our curriculums in Europe many teachers don't know how to implement it and don't want to take the time to think about how they could incorporate it in their lessons.
Yet internationalism is certainly already part of their lessons: talking about fruits which are not native to your country, important personas like scientists who did their research abroad, working with tools that are used all around the world and so much more!
It's the little things that matter and we should more often take the time to consider the small nuances that we can add to make our classroom more international.

Today I didn’t learned one special lesson for my life, but I keep in mind some spotlights:

I resolve to value small things more - the daily work and its impact.

For the first time in my life I tried lambi - I definitely have to do it again!

I learned that there are fish with at least 500 bones and it takes a whole hour to eat them.

Today I saw two strangers dancing with each other in a restaurant.

I was a child again today as I collected little treasures on the beach.

Today's discussion on internationalisation proved that the work we already do needs to be made transparent. I also learned that my school has still a lot of work to do in regard to diversifying our international work and activating different participant groups. Writing up the international project template for our school is task ahead.

I also learned today that lambis is delicious, and that the architecture in La Moule is a colourful mix, like a fruit salad!

Internationalisation is an aspect to be taken into account in our schools as we have many people from different countries. In many occasions I think it is an aspect that is limited to language teachers. I also think that we all work on many ideas about internationalisation without realising it. Finally, I think that we should spend more time listening the concerns, problems and opinions of our students and forget a bit about the strictly curricular.
Ahhh, how difficult it is to find a limbi shell in this island 😂.

Bref, it is all about the awareness of one's own abilities and achievements (as well as performance capacity).
This refers to one's own identity, the anchored (and in the best case transported) culture and individual action.
But also in the international context: We are already doing a lot for global action and internationalisation - we should make ourselves aware of this (especially as teachers) much more often.

International people in an international world
Today we have been working on the internalisation of schools and the curriculum. In a world where our students must be responsible global citizens, we cannot just stay within the walls of the school, we must take the classrooms outside. But don't we realise that we are constantly working on the internationalisation of the curriculum? From the studies of an English scientist to the mathematical formula of a Greek. However, today I realised that all this work must be recorded and programmed to give it value, to be well organised and to evaluate the results properly. And that will be our task for next week 😝.
