The Amerindians consist of the Caribs and Arawaks. They originated from South America and lived near the Orinoco river. Then one day they decided to explore the mysterious world in their, dug our canoes. Why you may ask? Well, they had a religion which allowed them to worship things in nature’s as well as the spirits of their dead ancestors. Now, enough about the wheres and the whys and more about the whats. Amerindians had a tough but pleasing life, where all they had to do was collect stuff from nature such as; wood, bone, shell, stone,
and plant fiber. The used some of these to make hammocks which they slept in during the night and they made tools which they use for hunting, fishing and farming during the day. The Amerindians influenced the Caribbean lifestyle immaculately like the food they eats eg. pepper pot and the crops they grow Maize, Sweet potato etc. Some of their words and handicrafts for sure. Even so, some of them were still captured, enslaved and died from diseases which were all to blame on the Europeans. But their lives didn’t end there some can still be found in places like Dominica, St. Vincent and Guyana. So yes they they had it a little tough but that doesn’t mean that they didn’t love a happy life.
Done by Nahyel King
