John Walters, in the exposition of My name is not Friday, I find that Samuel is the Protangonist, and the good kid, plus he's the narrator. Joshua, the younger more mean kid, is the Antagonist because he changes a lot in the exposition. The setting does also, the orphanage becomes a war base. Suddenly Joshua takes a turd on the robe in church and Samuel takes the blames and he is sold into slavery.

Samuel soon gets sold into slavery and works on a plantation. He feels akward at first, but soon gets use to it. He's more religous so a lot of times in his mind he's talking to God and praying to God. He makes a bunch of friends at the plantation and gets more confortable. He makes strong friendships. He's very friendly I thought as a character trait.
