You should take German because it's a fun class all around. You play language games on Kahoot, Gimkit, and other games, too. My first year of German was a great experience. The work seemed evenly paced, the class moved fast but instead of feeling dread I felt like I was learning. I definitely recommend taking Deutsch because you might need it if you accidentally or intentionally travel to Germany one day.

German should a language class to keep in mind when selecting a language class to take. German class is not that difficult compared to some other language classes because many of the words sound similar to English. In German class, we sometimes play games before each test so we can have a fresh reminder. This class gave me some good experiences.

I personally really enjoy German since not only are the teachers understanding, the language is easy to pick up on and understand. I also recommend it because a language is a skill that you can use right away after high school.

You should take German because it is an awesome class in which you learn the history of this beautiful language. I like German class because it's super chill and fun, and you learn a lot at the same time. We play a lot of fun games, act out fun skits, and eat yummy food. We also get to learn about the culture by holding our own Oktoberfest, which is basically a huge celebration that takes place in Germany every year. We learn fun dances and eat pretzels, etc. You also get the opportunity to go on an exchange trip if you continue German! I also learned to communicate in German, which is super cool.

Come and take German! It is so much fun and a great class to take. We play many games during class and have fun lessons that teach us about the German culture. We also have mini parties with food and dancing! We go on many field trips as well! You will learn so much through the German program at Niles North and make new friends! From talking to friends in other classes, I think I can safely say German is the least stressful language at North. The teachers do a great job of teaching through games and stories. Plus, German and English share so much-- you'll hear English while you learn German, but after a while you'll also hear German in everyday English. And you get pretzels every year for Oktoberfest.

If you're looking to take a language in high school, look no further than German. Not only do you get to learn a lesser known here but widely used language, but you get an enjoyable, easygoing class! We play many interactive games during class and the teachers teach in fun ways, such as interactive storytelling. We also have many celebrations, such as ice cream parties and Oktoberfest, and take fun field trips, like the Christkindlmarket in downtown and German areas of the city. Towards the end of your high school career, you'll have the opportunity to go on an exchange trip to Germany as well! So please consider German when you sign up for classes.

Taking German at North feels more like an activity than a class. Each week it feels like you’re learning something new in an all new creative way with multiple activities. I would say my favorite activity over my 4 years of German was our class fashion show that we used to learn more about clothing in German. I hope you try out this class as it is a great learning experience and opportunity for all students.

In Deutsch (German) class you learn by playing a bunch of different games and doing fun activities! It's something different everyday and never repetitive or boring. One of my favorite things about German is that we have a celebration every October called "Oktoberfest". We take a whole week to just learn dances, watch videos of the big Oktoberfest in Germany, and eat German food. I decided to take German because I wanted to go into business and Germany is one of the top countries for business in the world.

German class is super fun (viel spaß)! You will always be welcomed and encouraged no matter how many mistakes you make. I took German class because one of my friends who is a year older told me to (she said it was mostly games and she was right). We go on a field trip to the Christmas Market which is very interesting. All of the teachers are understanding and kind. You also learn a lot throughout the year!

German class is a great class to take in high school. The teachers make the class fun and exciting, and we always participate in fun activities and games such as Kahoot, Gimkit, projects, Quizlet live, etc. Since it is fun, class is much more interesting and makes learning the language easier and fun. I feel like I have a good understanding of German from this class. The best part is, you even get to go to Germany one day! Hope to see you next year in this class!

I decided to take German because I was curious about the language. Overall, I am very happy that I have taken the class because it allows me to learn in different ways. I can describe myself with adjectives! German will help me in the future because I want to go to Oktoberfest one day. I like being in German because it is a very positive environment.

Update: I have a broader vocabulary, and I love learning the differences between German and English. I think you are able to form a unique connection with everyone in German class because of the shared experience of learning a new language.

I enjoy being in German class because it is a fun language to speak, I enjoy saying the words. In German I have learned how to introduce myself and learn basic things about others. I took German because I have family in Germany that I want to be able to communicate with. Also in the future I plan to tour Europe and German is a language often spoke throughout Europe.

I'm currently in German 2, and it's a class I can look forward to to lighten up my mood because we dance, sing, and have group conversations. The work in this class is so light and easy.
