         <description><![CDATA[<div>During book nine, Odysseus and his men had to take Ismara by suprise and slay most of the Ciconian men that they came across, taking all the Ciconian women captive, and slaving them. Later during the fighting, Ciconians "Backup" or "reinforcements" arrived to attack the invaders, killing almost all of them leaving Odysseus and his men to flee in their ships.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Odysseus and his men had eventually stumbled upon a large cave. They entered, and helped themselves to food and drinks that they had found there, leading them to fall asleep. When the Cyclops found Odysseus and his men here, he became so mad that he grabbed two of the men, smashed their heads against rocks, and ate them. Eventually, Odysseus got revenge telling Cyclops that his name was "No man." Cyclops fell fast asleep in a drunken sleep, and Odysseus and his men took the timber and heated the sharpened end in the fire until it "glowed red". With all their strength, they pushed the red-hot point into the eye of Polyphemus, defeating him.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This island was found when Odysseus and his men sailed until they stumbled across an island floating, with a steep cliff of bronze with a palace atop  it. They realized that they eventually have come upon the island of Aeolia, home of Aeolus who was the god of wind. During their stay there, Aoelus presents Odysseus with a bag containing all of the winds, stirring up a powerful wind to guide Odysseus and his men back home, though they didn't make it as their wind created a storm, bringing him and his men right back to Aoelia.</div>]]></description>

He was also told to lunge at her when she tries to strike him with her sword.&nbsp;Odysseus decided to follow Hermes' instructions, and when he did he overpowered Circe, forcing her to change his men back to their human forms, defeating Circe.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When Odysseus had passed the Sirens' island, him and his men navigate the straits between Scylla and Charybdis. Scylla is a six-headed monster, that swallows sailors. Charybdis is an enormous whirlpool that threatens to swallow the entire ship. The easiest way to beat them, was to avoid them. He rowed through a narrow channel, avoiding Charybdis, but forcing them to pass Scylla. When they passed Scylla, it resulted in the deaths of six of his men from his crew.</div>]]></description>
