Instruct to not take with food or anti-acids, it may cause dizziness or drowsiness call for help with ambulating. Advise patient to be precautious when sitting directly in the sun for long periods of time. Advise the patient to report symptoms of angina and jaundice. Report any diarrhea, so we can further assist the situation.

Nursing Considerations:
Administer 1 hour before or 2 hours after with meals. Intermittent infusion is incompatible with Amiodarone. IV administration reconstituting each 500 ML vile with 4.8 mL sterile water for injection to achieve a concentration of 100mg per mL. Asses for rash, pruritus, laryngeal edema, and wheezing.

Side effects:
Torsade's (atria and ventricles are not communication heart is lost)
Stevens Johnson Syndrome
Hepatotoxicity (toxic levels to liver)

>Monitor IV site closely (Irritating tube tissue and causes necrosis and severe pain aka tissue death, rotate infusion site).
> Monitor intake, output ratios, and daily weight. (cloudy or pink urine may be a sign of nephrotoxicity).
> Observe patient with sign and symptoms of anaphylaxis/ allergy. --> discontinue drug and notify HCP immediately if this does occur.
> labs of albumin, cells in urine, CBC, and renal function. periodically during therapy.
>Evaluate toxicity and overdose through trough concentrations.
Patient Teaching:
> Take as directed, do not double dose if missed. 
> Instruct patient to report any ringing in ear, vertigo or hearing loss.
