         <description><![CDATA[<div>How to build capacity:<br>SHS used to make a simple computer apps course a semester requirement for ALL students, which ensured everyone got a base-line exposure.  To stay more A-G friendly, intro to computer science is the new year-long version of that same course, but percentage-wise, far fewer unique students are taking a tech class with me.  Currently, Ms. Still and Mr. Masuda teach in computer labs as well, but I believe not all students are covered directly by this triumvirate.  So, if very few students are in pure tech classes, it must be a deliberate and scheduled piece of core classes to make sure that certain skills and activities are done with all students at a particular time.  This means a need for department-wide projects of anyone with the same course.  I would suggest academies for this, but students are not really split up like this so the approach still doesn't get everyone.</div>]]></description>
