The legend about Qu yuan is the most popular story about the beginning of the dragon boat festival.
Qu yuan was a poet who drowned in Miluo river people sailed dragon boats to find his body and threw zongzi  to the fish because we hope the fish don't eat Qu yuan body.

The tern mid Autumn first appared in the book rites of zhou,written in the warning stated period 475-221BO,but the turn only related to the time and season ,the festival didn't exist at that point .In the tang Dynasty (960-1127Ad) ,the 15th day of the 8th lunar month was established as the mid-Autumn Festival .From then on ,sacrificing to the moon was very popular ,and has become a custom       ever since.
