Students will use colorful clay to shape the same thing (ex., A dog or the sun) Students will then swap art pieces with a partner and tell them what they liked about the piece. After this, the students will add what they think will make the other piece look better. This shows how they appreciate other art and how they can collaborate their ideas to make something beautiful. This will be done as a whole lesson by using different forms of art. The second part of this lesson will be for students to draw the same thing they picked on paper with markers. This will show the differences in how they portray certain things with certain different artistic expressions.

In 3rd grade my teacher gave me and my group mates three different colored buckets. She then gave us three different piles. One had sticks one had rocks and one had leaves. She mixed the three piles together and made us sort them into their rightful buckets. I think this helped me with sorting, colors, and cognitive function.

Leaf activity

Another activity I did as an elementary schooler was to create art using leaves. This helped me with problem-solving because whenever I made a mistake I could just move the leaves around and nothing was permanent. I leave all kinds of patterns and textures from the different leaves and utilized them in my pictures.
