Did you know that in Greece not only we decorate the xmas tree but we also decorate the small boat. It is a tradition  that is rooted in the traditions of our country. It  is  decorated with lights, usually placed in the main square of a town and close to the more international Christmas tree. 
People also decorated very small wooden boats at their houses. 
Fortunately, a tradition like this is not affected by Covid-19.

Greece is a country related to the sea. It holds a strong tradition in shipping since time immemorial. That being, when Christmas time comes, instead of decorating the famous Christmas tree, we prefer to put some lights on ships! Either on real life ships on ports, or on small decorative ships inside our house!
