Sometimes you can go without having symptoms,but the most common symptoms include vaginal discharge with a foul odor.  
The discharge may be yellow, white, green or gray in color.  You may have redness in the genital area and experience burning, itching, or pain during urination and sex.
Men rarely have symptoms, although they can experience a burning sensation when urinating or after ejaculating and penis discharge.
It can cause premature births or babies with low birth weights. 
It can make a woman more susceptible to being infected with HIV.
Cell culture Antigen and antibody testing specimen from vaginal fluid or the urethra for men.
