• story prediction : read the title of the book and show the students the pictures from the book without reading the text, ask them to guess what the story might be about.

• Vocabulary introduction : select key vocabulary words from the book. Use flashcards with pictures and words to introduce these vocabularies. Play a matching game that students match the word to the correct picture.

The teacher reads a book twice to the students

Put text in order activity : teachers cut up the reading and have students put it in order. The story contains many causes and effects. So putting the sentences in order requires students to think logically and understand the causes and effects of the story.
