However, are we, the world, ready for this new influx of intelligence that could very well be superior to ours? The risk is immense when we consider the potential of robotics simply spiralling out of the control of humans. If restrictions remain, the stunting of A.I. growth will give humans the time prepare for the future.

It is undeniable that robotics can bring about many benefits to humankind, which have been mentioned in the presentation on the government side. However, as humans can manufacture robots with higher capability and higher "intelligence", they could possibly be developed to a point where they no longer recognise humans to be their owners and could cause detrminetal effects to society. Aside from unemployment, we could lose our sense of freedom as humans as robots could rule our planet and make us a less intelligent race that is subject to the whims of robots. One example of this can be seen in the dystopian movie, Wall-E. In this movie, humanity has been transferred to a massive spaceship and robots are there to fulfill the need of every human. However, even though the ship is being controlled by a human captain, the human is far too reliant to resist against the evil intentions of the AI controlling the ship.

Robotics and AI have changed our world drastically and has made our lives easier and thus better. From AI such as siri, cortana to the upcoming google assistant, our lives has been made much easier as we can rely on these technologies to help us do some of our daily jobs. Yet, this field of technology has not yet been developed to the point that we should start fearing that they are going to take over our jobs, or that they are going to wage war with us. It is hence not necessary to restrict this technology as we have not even created an intelligent robot that could interact with us perfectly. Thus, we should not be implementing restrictions on a technology we are not so familiar with yet. We do not know now whether this technology will benefit or bring harm to us, hence we should not implement any restrictions

Why did Wakanda chose to hide this from the other countries and pose a deception that their country is a third-world country? They do now want countries to abuse the use of this metal and implement it to their own gadgets , to make them more powerful and use them in wars to secure their victory. What if this happens in the real world? How many casualties will rack up?Can countries in our world exercise discretion when using the technology of robotics and artificial intelligence. In order to mitigate chances of human death by robotics, we should have restrictions on robotics and Artifical Intelligence, we are afraid that countries do not have the ability to exhibit responisibility in using their resources.

Many of the inventions ment to help the public has been turned into weapons to be used against other humans. Humans as a species will find a way to exploit AI and robotics to be used as a tool to suppress others, making the most likely future one where there are a few individuals who control the rest of the population using AI and robotics. Hence, heavily enforces regulations should be imposed to hopefully prevent such a dystopia from occuring.

Furthermore, with the breakthrough of AI and robotics, there may be many people who Facebook the potential of losing their jobs. However, at the same time there are great risks and consequences that may arise when such powerful technologies are abused. I believe some restrictions should still be imposed to ensure that robotics and AI progress towards the "ideal future" we envision, where we can reap countless benefits from them, and not deviate from that route and end up bringing destruction/harm to society. Implementing these restrictions enable us to reap maximal benefits from such technology while also minimizing the dangers/consequences that may arise from it.
:)

We can never predict what will happen many years later, not except for Robotics. Like what I,Robot told us, there is still possibility that Robots will become emotional and attack human for this or that reason, so if we still impose such few restrictions on Robotics, it will be the judgement day for human beings when Robots, who are with higher intelligence and stronger body, find that humans are not good enough for them, human will definitely lose and become the slaves of Robots.

When people make decisions, they only consider there private benefits and costs. In this case, their private benefit is having more convenience and less work. More time to slack and play.
They do however incur the costs of high maintainance such as repairing robots.
However, when people make decisions, they do not consider the negative externalities that there actions bring. AI may go out of hand in the hands of weirdos. This externalities might be too big a cost so we cannot support AI.

i don’t support the lifting of all restrictions of ai and robotics. robotics and ai are very beneficial to us at the moment. They are being improved everyday, and with the lifting on restrictions, this development will grow exponentially. when artificial intelligence outperforms human beings, which they will if all restrictions are lifted, we would be absolutely useless. what then is the meaning of life? just to spread genes? what makes life meaningful is the presence of hardships and learning. we can feel the joy of success and the sorrow of failing, which leads to us constantly learning. when ai becomes better than humans, we will have no meaning of living. i do not wish to live in the dystopia that lifting of restrictions on ai will cause.
