The Association for Autism and Neurodiversity (AANE) helps Autistic and similarly Neurodivergent people build meaningful, connected lives. We provide individuals, families, and professionals with education, community and support, in an inclusive atmosphere of validation and respect.

Who: Post-high school, 18 year old and older adults with Asperger/autism

What: AANE offers a variety of social activities and events to provide the opportunity to connect in a welcoming environment, have fun, pursue special interests, and build relationships.

What: City of Coral Gables hosts multiple social activities at their clubhouse and in various locations, including:

Who: Adults with intellectual disabilities and autism (Coral Gables residency is not required to attend these events) 

Where: The Clubhouse is located at Ruth Bryan Waterway Park - 3940 Granada Blvd Coral Gables, FL 33134. Some events take place at other locations, see flyers for details.

Cost: Tickets are $5.00 per person

The Friendship Journey hosts a variety of in-person accessible, inclusive, and fun experiences in the South Florida community alongside our wonderful partners at no cost to families.

Virtual Summer Camp
Camp Wings of Friendship is a nationwide virtual summer camp for teens and adults with disabilities offered at no cost to families. Campers enjoy a true summer camp experience with cabins, counselors, weekly activities, field trips, themes and more, inspired by the award-winning documentary film, Crip Camp.

Annual Events
Annual events include the Friendship Gala, an evening of dinner, dancing, and awards, and our Jaime Guttenberg & Gina Montalto Friendship Scholarship Celebration, honoring our scholarship recipients.

Social & Life Skills Classes

Offering structured activities focused on specific skills, such as social language, appropriate play, and interaction with peers.

Life Skills Programs

Addresses the skills needed for children to transition into independent adults and includes home management skills (cooking, cleaning, laundry), money management skills and employment readiness skills.

Indoor and Outdoor Activities

Includes art, music therapy, dance, drama, sports, fitness, cooking, science, Legos and more.

Who:  Children from birth to age 22, who have been diagnosed with a Developmental Disability including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida or Prader Willi, developmental delays and those at risk.

ScentsAbility proudly introduces EmpowerAbility - a transformative six-week program tailored exclusively for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each week unfolds a new sensory experience, guiding participants through the enchanting realm of scents and crafts.

All Abilities classes provide interactive and engaging arts experiences in a supportive and welcoming environment for people with physical and developmental disabilities. Join our Broward Center teaching artist as they lead a fun dance and singing experience for the whole family. Parents and siblings are welcome to stay and participate. Complimentary parking is included, and complimentary beverages and cookies are provided to encourage socialization among participants. Two age groups available for each class.
