Name ‘Humphrey’ has old German origin, meaning ‘peaceful warrior’ - oddly fitting with his character 

On a busy Christmas market day, the chef went down to get supplies and didn’t acknowledge Humphrey; he found pans everywhere and a carving knife sticking out of the floor 

Attic said to be haunted by sound of money being counted, dropped and rolling across the floor – thief

1925 Lawrence of Arabia stayed in building, likely wrote famous novel ‘Seven Pillars of Wisdom’ in Pie Shop
