Today's session was about "Listening".
In my classroom I'd prefer using both listening materials and activities in my coursebook and the authentic ones because each group of students has different levels and also demands so while implementing the activities I think it's important to call upon both of them. Also the goal and achievement of the lesson will play a crucial role on determinig the task and material so using just one of them would not be adequate enough for complete learning.
I think the ideas about developing more active listening skills in today's session would be appropriate if I would differentiate them in accordance with the levels of my students by simplifying them :)

In my district the most common problem related to teaching speaking is mainly demotivation of students as well as their drawbacks about being humiliated by their classmates. As a common problem of teaching speaking, my students are afraid of making mistakes as well. Integrating them to the speaking activities is quite difficult for me.
I hope implementing the activities that I've learned in this seminar will be helpful for integrating them to speaking activities..The ideas I've taken away today will sure be helpful to cope with these problems because I've learned quite a lot of new strategies and digital tools to adopt my classes and afterall to me my students' attitude towards speaking will be affected in a positive way.

First off all I'd like to note here that i couldn't attend all of the sessions today due to my health issues. As far as I've learned I think snack writing is the most useful writing idea in my local context because i have lower level students and they get easily bored from writing longer texts.
Actually my collegues at the school I'm working are not interested being a pdc at all, because they thing it is going to be a tiring and extra job for them so I am literally worried about my future experience at my local context.

While teaching grammar I think controlled activies can be more useful and differentiation of the tasks is a must for me because I have mostly weaker students and by this way they can understand the structure easily and digital assesments can be more appropriate to attrack the attention of them.
In my opinion my colleagues would want to discuss about the implicit and explicit learning and also I think they would also like to learn useful activities about teaching grammar structure for thier language classes.
To me CCQ's should be priorised because it's one of the most appropriate way to let students discover the structure themselves.

In my opinion the most effective vocabulary teaching suggestion is adding funny and silly details to the sentence with the new word because most of them are quickly get bored from the traditional matching of fill in the blanks drills also encouraging learners to learn the new vocabulary with collacations is a good suggestion.
I can make use of vocabulary notebook by letting them record the newly learned vocabulary for each class especially for collocations and patterns or let them seperate the notebook into units or topics such as "animals, food and drinks"etc. so that they can expand their vocabulary effectively. There are some app for keeping a vocabulary notebook which I can recommend as well.

This is a reading text from the first theme of Grade 9 coursebook. For weaker students I'd ask them only to find out the meaning of unknown words about professions or names of the Nationalities and Countries from the text and for stronger ones I'd ask them to write a new dialogue like the given.
I think my colleagues would find jigsaw reading useful to solve common problems in teaching reading because I think collaborative learning is motivating for all types of students.
