The wonderful Apollo 11 was a rocket launched to the moon, in July 16 1969. It had 3 people in the one and only Apollo 11! The commander's name was apparently Neil Armstrong, who was the first man to step on the moon, trained for many, many years at NASA - did you know that his crew were also some of the first people on the moon? NASA has made other Apollo projects (eg Apollo 1, Apollo 2, Apollo 3, Apollo 8 etc.) Consistently, this event was broadcast all around this beautiful planet. Furthermore, the Apollo 11 was a marvelous moment in all of history.

By Aman E Khaled

It was created in 1959 by James Modarelli (a NASA employee) and quicky became known as the “meatball” because of its round shape. Although the design looks simple, every part tells a story. The blue circle represents the vastness of space, while the bold red swoosh symbolisesaeronautics and flight. Furthermore, the stars and tiny spacecraft remind us of NASA’s mission—to explore and discover beyond our planet.
