Semai means sow (as in sowing the seeds of something).

So "SEMAI CINTA AKAN BAHASA" means "sow the seeds of love for the language".

As teachers, it is our reaponsibility to sow these seeds of love for MTL to students.  We do this by providing various platforms, programmes and opportunities for students to engage and find joy of learning that will eventually help them grow the love for their mother tongue.

Students, on the other hand, need to do likewise. They need to be active learners, ready to leverage on these learning opportunities, and find and create more opportunities themselves, because they too shoulder the same responsibility in sowing the seed of love for the language.
