🏠🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🏡

During Holy Week, I had the chance to spend quality time with my family, and it turned out to be one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had in a while. We shared a simple meal together, just like in this picture, but the real blessing was being truly present with one another. In the midst of our busy lives, we paused to laugh, share stories, and simply enjoy each other’s company.

This moment reminded me of the Last Supper. how Jesus gathered with His disciples not only to share a meal, but to express love, forgiveness, and unity. It deepened my appreciation for the people I often take for granted and reminded me that faith isn’t just about prayer and fasting, but also about nurturing the relationships God has given us.

I realized that family is one of God’s greatest gifts. That meal, though simple, became sacred in its own way filled with gratitude, peace, and love.

From this year's Holy Week, I spent it by attending the Visita Iglesia with my family, going around 7 churches around the city. I also spent it by going to a restaurant after the Happy Easter mass. If there is one important value that I have reflected on this experience is the value of spending time with your family. Being able to spend time with your family and praying is one of the best gifts that God can ever give.

Our time here on earth is precious due to it being temporary, we have to offer ourselves up to God, to follow in His path so like Him, we too can overcome death. With that said, I really am grateful to God for everything that He gives me in my life, like a chance to be with Him and the gift of family.

One meaningful experience I had this Holy Week was visiting different churches with my friends on Holy Thursday. It was a special time that helped me reflect on Jesus’ journey and grow deeper in my faith. I also joined the procession of the saints with my cousins. We walked and prayed together, and it made me feel more connected to both my family and God. My family and I also went to Mass together, which helped strengthen our bond and reminded me of the importance of praying as one. Aside from that, we spent quiet time at home. Even simple moments like talking and being together made me feel grateful. This Holy Week reminded me of the importance of faith, reflection, and spending time with the people I love.

I’ve spent my holy week by firstly, attended the some Holy Week masses and Visita Iglesia. What I did during those days was praying and having reflections regarding how God sacrificed for us and for the sins that we have committed in this world. During reflecting and praying, I thought that In order for us to honor God by his sacrifices and being merciful to us, we should also have time to give sacrifice for him by attending some Holy week activities and spend time with our family. Me and my family also attended the via crusis at the perpetual church. In honoring the God’s sacrifices. These essential events have give me thoughts that It is very important for us change for the betterment of

our community and strengthen the relationship and faith toward God. This week have taught me as well that Holy Week becomes not just a religious observance, but a heartfelt journey of transformation for the whole family.

This Holy Week was very meaningful and special for me because I spent time with my family. We went to church, joined the procession with the saints, and prayed the Holy Rosary together. These moments helped us grow closer in our faith and as a family. We also celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ with many of our relatives. We shared laughter, made happy memories, and enjoyed each other's company. This made me feel thankful and reminded me that Holy Week is not only for prayer and reflection, but also a time to be with the people we love and make our bond stronger. I realized that even simple moments like prayer or eating together can bring so much joy. It also taught me to appreciate the presence of my family more. I hope we can continue doing this every year and grow even closer.

During Holy Week, my family and I prayed the Stations of the Cross together and lit candles for each station. It was a quiet and meaningful time that helped us think deeply about the suffering and sacrifice that Jesus went through for us. Each candle we lit made the moment feel more special and added a peaceful feeling to our prayers. As we moved from one station to the next, we reflected on what each part of Jesus’ journey meant and how much love He showed through His sacrifice. Doing this together as a family made the experience even more meaningful, because we were able to pray, reflect, and feel God’s presence as one. It reminded us of the importance of staying strong in our faith and supporting one another, especially during hard times. This simple but powerful moment helped strengthen not only my relationship with God, but also the bond I share with my family.

Holy Week is the most sacred week in the Christian calendar, especially for Catholics. It commemorates the final days of Jesus Christ’s life on Earth, leading up to His crucifixion and resurrection. It starts on Palm Sunday and ends on Easter Sunday. During the holy month, together with my family and relatives, I did the Visita Iglesia. We went to many churches, but only four churches had a picture from me because it was late for me to realize that it was needed. We went to Dauin, Bacong, Valencia, Balugo, Camanjac, and lastly our hometown, Sibulan. I was very happy doing Visita Iglesia because we always do it every year, not just to pray but also to visit and adore the different kinds of churches that we have near our hometown. After visiting different churches, we eat together in the house of my cousin. The holy week doesn’t only teach us to do abstinence but also teaches us the word sacrifice because we see how Jesus died for us, and we also see the suffering of Mama Mary during that time as a mother.

Attending Visita Iglesia, visiting seven different churches, was a profound experience that offered me a sense of spiritual connection and reflection. Each church I visited had its own unique atmosphere, from the quiet reverence to the grandeur of the architecture. The act of physically walking to each church felt like my own journey each step closer to a deeper understanding of my faith. I found myself reflecting on the significance of the Passion of Christ, as well as the meaning behind the stations of the cross displayed in each church. It was a time to pause, not just for prayer, but for quiet introspection, allowing me to step away from the noise of everyday life and center myself in the sacred moments.

As I moved from one church to the next, I also found myself reflecting on how each community and place of worship carries its own energy and history. The diversity of the churches reminded me of the universal nature of faith it doesn't reside in one particular building, but in the hearts of those who gather there. The pilgrimage allowed me to reconnect with my own beliefs, but it also deepened my appreciation for the beauty and tradition of Catholicism. Overall, Visita Iglesia was not just a physical journey, but a spiritual one, one that left me with a renewed sense of gratitude and peace.

My family and I enjoyed a relaxing week filled with activities both inside and outside the home. Sunday, April 13th, was Palm Sunday and also my birthday! We attended church together, carrying handmade palm crosses that my parents had crafted the previous night. Afterward, we had a small celebration at home. This special day, falling during Holy Week, felt particularly meaningful as we began our week of togetherness. On Friday, April 18th, we gathered in the kitchen, cooking and listening to soft music while preparing arroz de valenciana. I chopped and cut the ingredients while my aunt directed us and stirred the pan. It was fun and enjoyable, and the arroz de valenciana was the most delicious food I tasted all week! For the rest of the week, we spent time at home, watching movies and bonding over gardening. I watered the plants while my aunt planted flowers.

These simple activities, shared during this sacred time, brought us closer together, strengthening our family bonds in a way that mirrored the spirit of Holy Week. The quiet moments of connection, much like the quiet reflection of the season, were deeply enriching.

It make me understand the importance of love, humility and sacrifice in our own lives. Its a reminder that no matter the challenges we face we are never alone and Jesus journey shows us the way to find strength in faith and compassion for others.

On Maundy Thursday, I went for a morning jog with my cousin and did Visita Iglesia, which helped me reflect and pray while visiting different churches. I felt peaceful and thankful for the quiet moments we had. Good Friday was special because I joined the Via Crucis, where I followed the Stations of the Cross and thought about Jesus’ sacrifices. Later, I shared binignit with my family, a simple meal that brought us together. I also joined the Soledad procession, which reminded me of Mary’s sorrow and deep faith as a mother. It made me think about how important it is to trust God even in hard times. On Easter Sunday, I witnessed the Sugat, which gave me hope and joy as we celebrated Jesus’ resurrection. I also went to the Sunday market and enjoyed the happy atmosphere. These moments made me feel closer to God and appreciate the value of faith, family, and reflection. Holy Week helped me grow spiritually and reminded me to stay kind, patient, and prayerful.

This year’s Holy Week was a meaningful time for me, as I spent it with my family and attended Mass with my mother. It reminded me of the importance of being present and cherishing the simple moments we often take for granted. Even though I was mostly looking after my younger siblings, I found unexpected joy in the little things playing in the swimming pool, laughing together, wrestling, watching videos, and talking late into the night. These moments, though ordinary, felt deeply special, and I realized how quickly time passes and how precious these memories are. It made me think of how Jesus, fully aware that His time on earth was limited, chose to spend it serving and loving others. Life is not without its struggles, but during the Black Saturday Mass, I was reminded that even in times of darkness, there is always hope and that hope is found in Jesus. This Holy Week taught me to hold onto the light, no matter how dark things may seem.

During Holy Week, I mostly spent time at home with my family. We watched Christian movies like "Noah's Ark" and films about the life of Jesus Christ. Seeing His story, His kindness, sacrifice, and deep love for humanity reminded us of the real reason we celebrate this week.

Even though we didn’t leave the house much, it became a week full of meaningful bonding. We ate together, talked, laughed, and just enjoyed being close to one another. Sometimes the best moments don’t come from big plans but from simple things like watching movies together, praying as a family, or just being present. It showed me that home can be the most special place, especially when you’re with the people you love.

On Sunday, we woke up at 3 in the morning to attend church for my sister’s confirmation. It was still dark and quiet outside, but there was something peaceful about it. Watching her take that important step in her faith made us all proud. Sitting together in the church, I felt so grateful for our family, our faith, and everything Jesus Christ has done for us. It was the perfect way to end a meaningful Holy Week.

This week taught me that faith doesn’t always need to be shown in big actions. Sometimes it’s in the little things, like being there for each other and reflecting quietly at home. I also learned that God’s love is constant, even in the ordinary moments. And most of all, I realized how important it is to make time for both faith and family.

During Holy Week, I spent most of my time inside the house. And although there wasn't that much going on in my week I can say that it is still a week well spent with the Lord and my family. During Holy Week, I am very grateful to my aunt for giving us binignit. Although they were busy in their own household, they still thought of us and wanted to share their blessings, and for that I am very grateful and happy. The next one is this Sunday which is also my birthday. Even though we only had a little celebration at home, I can say that I still enjoyed my birthday. I am very happy and honored to celebrate my birthday alongside Jesus, since today is Easter Sunday, and this is enough to make me happy. And I am also happy that I get to spend my birthday with the people I care about the most, the people who are always there for me when I need them. For others it may not be that significant, but for me, I will forever treasure this memory. I am forever grateful to be able to spend my birthday with Jesus. This week reminded me of the beauty of simplicity, gratitude, and faith. The quiet moments allowed me to reflect on the blessings in my life, especially the love of my family and the grace of God. This moments in my life serves as a a gentle reminder that God's love and presence make every moment truly meaningful.

During Holy Week, I experienced one of the most meaningful times with my family and in my faith. We did Visita Iglesia and visited seven churches from Bais to Sibulan. At every stop, we prayed together, and it made me feel more connected not only to God but also to my family. It was a quiet but powerful experience that reminded me of how important it is to pause and reflect. We also made binignit and puto at home, which we shared with our neighbors. It felt good to give, even in simple ways, and I saw how small acts of kindness can bring happiness to others. One of the moments that really touched my heart was when we watched a movie about the life of Jesus. I cried because seeing His pain and sacrifice made me reflect on how much love He has for us, despite everything He went through. On Saturday morning, we woke up at 5:00 AM and went to the beach to swim. It was a fun and peaceful bonding time with my family. After we got home, we watched another movie about Jesus, then ended the day with evening prayer together with my lola. Praying with her made the moment extra special and peaceful. On Easter Sunday, we woke up early again to attend the resurrection mass. Hearing the words of Jesus filled me with hope and reminded me that there’s always a new beginning. After church, we spent the rest of the day bonding as a whole family, laughing and enjoying each other's company. This Holy Week reminded me how valuable family, faith, and togetherness really are. It helped me feel closer to God and appreciate the blessings I have in my life.

During Holy Week, my family and I observed the tradition of Visita Iglesia, visiting several beautiful and historic churches in Dumaguete and other towns in Negros Oriental. At each church, we paused to pray and reflect on the Stations of the Cross, deepening our connection to the passion and sacrifice of Jesus. It was a spiritually enriching journey that allowed us to slow down and focus on our faith.

On Holy Thursday, we attended the Mass of the Lord's Supper, which commemorates Jesus' Last Supper with His disciples. The ceremony was moving, especially the reenactment of the washing of the feet, which reminded us of Christ's humility and the call to serve others with love and compassion.

Good Friday was a solemn and reflective day. We joined the liturgy of the Passion of the Lord, listened to the Gospel account of Jesus' crucifixion, and took part in the veneration of the cross. The silence and simplicity of the service made the message of sacrifice and redemption feel very real and powerful.

On Holy Saturday, we participated in the Easter Vigil, one of the most beautiful and meaningful celebrations in the Church. The lighting of the Paschal candle and the readings that told the story of salvation history made the experience truly memorable. The transition from darkness to light symbolized Christ's victory over death, and it filled us with hope and joy.

Finally, we celebrated Easter Sunday by attending a joyful Mass in the morning, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. After church, we went to the beach to relax and spend quality time with family. The day was filled with laughter, delicious food, and the peaceful beauty of nature —truly a perfect way to end a week full of prayer, reflection, and celebration.

My Family makes the holy week more special. Together with my family we participated in abstinence from all kinds, prioritizing our spiritual needs and disciplining our selves. Although we abstain from foods that are not allowed, mom made sure that we utilize enough nutrients that our body needs. During the Holy Week we participated in church activities especially in processions. Me and my family visited different churches with our relatives as well. We attended masses together and my parents made sure that we understand the true meaning and purpose of the Holy Week by always reminding us and following all the practices. The Holy Week is not complete without the traditional filipino desserts every Holy Week which are Binignit or porridge and Biko. The Holy Week reminds me and my family the sacrifices Jesus made especially saving us from our sins. It’s important to repent and discipline ourselves in order to continue doing moral deeds that draws our family closer to God.

During Holy Week, even though I am not a Catholic but I respect and honored the Holy Week. Our family engaged in a meaningful activities that allowed us to deepen our faith and reflect on the significance of this sacred time. We attended the Via Crucis, where we walked together in reverence, contemplating the trials and sufferings of Jesus. This experience was not only spiritually enriching but also served to strengthen our family bonds as we shared in the solemnity of the occasion. We also participated in the Visita Iglesia, visiting several churches to pray and meditate on the passion of Christ. To celebrate the Holy Week, we decided to cook binignit, a traditional dish that brought warmth and joy to our gathering, symbolizing the spirit of togetherness and gratitude. In addition to these activities, we took time to pray and reflect on the life of Jesus by watching films that depicted His teachings and sacrifices, which inspired us to live more compassionately and with purpose. Through these shared experiences, we not only honored the traditions of Holy Week but also created lasting memories that will remain in our hearts for years to come.

This Holy Week, from Palm Sunday to Easter, was a special and unforgettable time that allowed me to grow deeper in my faith and strengthen the bond I share with my family. We attended several church services throughout the week, which became a meaningful way for us to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the story of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. Being present in these moments helped me appreciate the true essence of Holy Week and reminded me of God’s unconditional love. I also joined the Perpetual Youth and took part in the dance presentations during Palm Sunday and the Easter Vigil. It was a beautiful experience to offer my talent to God and express my devotion through movement and praise, surrounded by fellow youth who shared the same passion. On Maundy Thursday, we attended the Last Supper Mass, which made me reflect more deeply on the sacrifice of Jesus. After the mass, we continued our tradition of Visita Iglesia, visiting seven different churches and taking time to pray at each one. These moments of quiet prayer and shared devotion with my family helped us grow closer not just to God, but also to one another. These experiences reminded me of how powerful faith can be in bringing people together and guiding us with love and purpose.

Attending a worship event during Holy Week was a powerful and emotional experience, but what truly made it the most memorable part of my week was the time I spent with my family afterward. We gathered together and had deep, meaningful conversations about Jesus—His life, His sacrifices, and what His love means in our lives today. It was a rare and beautiful moment where we all felt spiritually connected, not only to our faith but also to each other. Sharing our thoughts, questions, and personal reflections created a space of warmth, understanding, and peace. In that moment, I realized how important it is to nurture both faith and family, and how the presence of Jesus in our conversations brought a sense of comfort and unity that I’ll always cherish.

This year's holy week, for me, is a lot faster compared to last year's experience but still this holy week was full of reflection, remembrance, praise and hope. During the week, I attended the Palm Sunday Mass in which I reflected on the day where Jesus was praised and called the King of the Jews. But later on, we know that he was crucified by the same people who praised him. Just like the people who praised and killed Jesus, we too are like them. We praise him when we need him but then suddenly hurt him through sin. Let us become his true followers and be with God in heaven. I also attended the mass on Easter Sunday Good Friday, and holy Thursday celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus and the foundation of the church. As well as the way of the cross, where we journey with him in his suffering to save us. Holy week is where the church was found and built and where we were all saved from sin. Let us forever remember this week, a crucial time for the church and our salvation.

Jesus asked his disciples to love one another. Following this teaching, me and my family spent time together eating, watching movies about Jesus, meeting with extended families and go out together. Jesus wants us to love each other and care for each other. I will always remember to value love and care for everyone. Praise the Lord!
