Looking through the resources available on the BIK portal, I found a really interesting and useful toolkit, designed to support lessons on online safety (Crossing the Line). I would use the lesson plan on Sexting – Just Send It to raise awareness about the pressure on young people to take and share such images. Share links to the actual resources about sextorsion and sexintg where possible and briefly identify how you used it or plan on using it as well as why you think this resources is of particular interest to use with your class.
I would start showing the videos of the spanish campaign "Piensalo antes de sextear" (10 reasons to not make sexting) that are simple and direct.
After that I would invite an expert of the police forces to speak with students about the topic.
Then I would propose a drama scenario activity: the class divided into groups read some short lines about a single case of sextortion and they have to give advices.
Finally the class has to make a sort a decalogue against sexting and sextortion.

Teens who get involved in sexting may experience difficult consequences for their thoughtless actions. Although I cannot do this lesson with my students as they are still very young, I found this resource and I think it is very useful to use with teens. This is propably the most serious case of bullying and blackmail online. It is an awkward situation for educators to introduce and focus on details of sextortion, so I limit my advice not to post anything personal online, using only a nickname and an avatar.
