I feel that there is a connection between these two quotes because first and foremost Ms. Matlock would most definitely qualify as one of the "Supergays." She lives loud and unapologetically with the intention of spreading the message that there is a place for LGBTQIA+ members. They both highlight that there are communities out there for those looking.
