procedure: created box put cat in it, if cat pushed button it would get out of box, there was another way to get out but wanted to condition cat to push the button, gradual increase 
results of study: response gradually increase reward, postive response strengths reward, always a gradual shift for learning to do a behavior and the shift LAW OF EFFECT

procedure : dogs had incision in cheek with tube to collect saliva 
placed in soundproof lab, no external stimuli, test metronme, small of vanilla and rotating object  and mkunt of saliva
(saliva = unconditioned reflex; smell sounds = neutral stimulus, food = unconditioned stimulus )
Results : UCS + NS = CR
playing the metronome, releasing the scent of vanilla or rotationg th object right hefore giving the dogs food creates an association between the sound of the metronome, the sight of the object or the smell of vanilla and food so the stimulus become

Procedure: 24 dogs dived into escape group and nonescape group escape has a button that would stop shock; nonescape group- button would not work
results : nonescape group - did not try to escape because they learned it would not work; escape group- dogs escaped by 30 seconds or more
relevance - teen with depression

Bandura 
purpose: if based on modeling if children would mimic violent or nonviolent actions
procedure: experimental group and control group compared to eachother- toys placed in room and teacher would administer how they would act ; 
results : children exposed to aggression/ poor model behavior, were more likely to imitate behavior 
no ethical : aggressive behave was not addressed or reversed or parental consent was not stated
relevance : predict future behavior ; one grows up in an abusive house hold and could become more aggressive when theyll older
