As Tiktok grew in popularity, so did the trends that came with. "Thirst-traps" are videos in which a person is in some way sexualized by music, ambiance, speed of video, etc. As I was scrolling on TikTok, two teenage boys appeared in a video. Jazz music and slow motion videos of the two in a courtroom was accompanied with a caption. "The Menendez Brothers". The comments were uncontrollable. Girls drooling over the criminals. Criminals. Is this glamorization of criminal activity justified purely out of physical attraction? I started to look into the case, and was shocked. Many other ethical questions came to mind.
