         <title>Scientific Revolution</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- The scientific revolution was a movement which changed peoples view of the universe, It happened from the 1500s to the 1700s in Europe.<br><strong>2 major events<br></strong>- There were developments in mathematics, physics, astronomy, biology and chemistry all which changed peoples point of view of the world/universe<br>- There were theories which included: the heliocentric theory By Nicholas Copernicus which was about the sun being in the center of the universe instead of the earth but it was rejected by most people.<br>- Galileo supported Copernicus Heliocentric Theory by observing it with a telescope but the church put Galileo on a Trial and got threatened with death, because of that he retired his ideas publicly.<br><strong>2 Main Characters</strong><br>- Nicolaus Copernicus was a Polish astronomer who created the heliocentric theory and model which many scholars disagreed with and continued to believe the geocentric model.<br>- Galileo Galilei was an Italian astronomer who was able to prove the heliocentric theory but was rejected by the church and threatened with death if he didn't take back his idea. <br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Age of the Enlightenment</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- The Enlightenment was a philosophical movement during the late 17th and early 18th century, which took place in Europe at first and then in North America. In the Enlightenment there where rise of concepts such as reason, liberty and the scientific method.<br><strong>2 major events<br>- </strong> Scholars and thinkers of the Enlightenment in Great Britain and France questioned traditional authority and embraced the idea that humanity could be improved through rational change. <strong><br>- </strong>Montesquieu created the Separation of powers into three branches, Executive Branch, Judicial branch and Legislative branch, each with its own purpose.<br><strong>2 Main Characters <br></strong>-  King Louis XIV of France thought he was the only one who should govern France. He ruled from the palace of Versailles which was the perfect way to show the kings wealth and power.<br>- Elizabeth I took power in 1558 and started the Elizabethan age after the death of queen Mary. She resolved the religious problems that England had at the time. She was described as a courageous, majestic, loyal and powerful queen during her time.<br> <strong><br><br><br><br></strong><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>French Revolution</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- The French Revolution started in 1788 when France was bankrupt, people weren't having a good time, there where financial difficulties, Troops and money to aid the American Revolution, etc. It finished in 1799.<br><strong>2 Major Events<br></strong>- There was a convention of the general estates which was the first meeting of the states since 1614, each estate had one vote but the third estate always loosed so the decide to vote based on the number of members. </div><div>- The storming of the bastille happened on july 14, 1789 when the Parisian crowd took charge of the bastille to protect themselves. This event started the Chaos on the french revolution<strong><br>2 Main Characters<br></strong>- Maximilien Robespierre was a lawyer and one of the main characters of the reign of terror.<br>-  Louis XVI of France was Frances king in the revolution time, he wasn't capable of ruling the country which was one of the cause of the revolution.</div>]]></description>
