This is an example of hyperbole, and it shows the extent of Romeo's love for Juliet

Romeo uses hyperbole to tell how deep he is in love, and how attractive he finds Juliet by using exaggerated statements.

He also is a member of high class, this is likely due to the fact he is at least a priest, or at least a respected member of the church, so he was likely protected, in his private cell

"A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life", "Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean"

these quotes tell the ending of the story, and cause dramatic irony.

Because it is an enemy to thee. Had I it written, I would tear the word." This once again emphasizes that the two families are the obstacle to their relationship.

Shakespeare uses personification to show how in love they are

Juliet also used the excuse of "I confessed my sin of disobedience" showing women had to be very obedient, or they were viewed as sinners

"Shall I believe that unsubstantial Death is amorous, and that the lean abhorred monster keeps thee here in dark to be his paramour?"

This quote of Romeo describes the death as a creature that has feelings for Juliet and wants to keep her as his lover. It also shows how mad Romeo is in love with Juliet by making himself look jealous to death that has taken his wife.

"Art thou a man? Thy form cries out thou art;

Thy tears are womanish, thy wild acts denote

The unreasonable fury of a beast.

Unseemly woman in a seeming man!"

Is she not proud? Doth she not count her blessed, unworthy as she is, that we have wrought so worthy a gentleman to be her bride?"

Even if Romeo himself is the one that killed Tybalt, he is feeling guilty of killing the person who was meant to be his cousin (because he married Juliet) and Shakespeare uses their interactions and their relationship that started from enemies, and end up with families for dramatic and tragic ending of the lovers.

It is the East, and Juliet is the sun.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,

Who is already sick and pale with grief

That thou, her maid, art far more fair than she.　Be not her maid since she is envious.

Her vestal livery is but sick and green,

It is my lady. O, it is my love!" And Romeo and Juliet talk in rhymes.

If it was a simple crush, it would have lead to an simple break of relationship, but due to their unfailing love, they were able to suffer their lives for each other.

For example, in Act 3, Mercutio continues to say "A plague a both your houses!"

Despite their intense love that spreads deep emotions within the audience like a wildfire, this fire still "burns" them, as it is too rash and causes them to be addled by their own impulsive thoughts. This causes people to have mixed feelings for young love.

The plague symbolizes death, foreshadowing the fact that death will soon plague the Capulet and the Montague families, especially the death of Romeo and Juliet.

In Act III scene 3, we see that Romeo is rolling on the ground in grief and crying. Men were not expected to cry. Men were supposed to be able to fight and be tough. The Friar sees Romeo crying and grieving and says, "Art thou a man? Thy cries out thou art; Thy tears are womanish, thy acts denote the unreasonable furry of a beast. Unseemly woman in a seeing man!"
