I think that the artist's intention for this piece of work is that while our phone sounds out many bells and notifications, they can't compare to the true sounds of nature. 2. I think that the artist is saying that this generation should pay attention more to the things outside, compared to just looking down at their phone all the time. This generation should take the time to admire the outdoors by putting their phone away and going outside sometimes. In paragraph 11 of Article One, it states "'It's connections to other human beings -- real-life connections, not digital ones -- that nourish us and make us feel like we count. Our presence, our full attention is the most important thing we can give each other." This means that we need to give more attention to our loved ones, compared to just texting them or speaking through the phone. Talking to someone in real life gives the other party a better feeling, one of knowing how they matter, compared to you sending a heart emoji through iMessage. You feel supported and loved most when you have people in real life talking to you face-to-face. The fact that we cannot even go 24 hours without our phones tells us that we are addicted and the phones are glued to our faces.

I think the artist's intention is to allow humanity to contemplate  about what cell phones are doing to our lives, while we think everything is normal. 

In my opinion, the artist is trying to say that cell phones are always in our lives by creating a border between the people we love and care for. This border is always there and blocking us from the real beauty in life that an individual has created. “Too many of us have become slaves to the devices that were supposed to free us, giving us more time to experience life and the people we love.
