         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>First, students will make a rectangle, square, or parallelogram of your liking making sure that the angles add up to 360°. Then, you will draw a diagonal across 2 opposite points creating 2 triangles.</p></li><li><p>Then, we will then cut the triangles out and speak our their partners about what you have found out about the area of a triangle. While also adding our ideas to this padlet, write down your ideas and we will go over them as a class. </p></li><li><p>Then after we have confirmed measurements about our drawing, we will confirm our angles and side lengths.</p></li><li><p>Then we will tear off the three corners/angles. Then put the points together and see what the angles measure up to. </p></li><li><p>Quick tip: We have gone over that every rectangle, square, or parallelogram is 360° and we know that the area is b*h. Use this idea while exploring triangles!</p></li></ul>]]></description>
