The Four Basic Thinking & Behavioral Attributes

The four Thinking Attributes are:

The Analytical preferences (Blue) which is the mathematical and logical understanding attribute
The Structural preferences (Green) which is the organizational attribute
The Social preferences (Red) which is the communication attribute
The Conceptual preferences (Yellow) which is the artistic and imaginative attribute

The three Behavioral Attributes (Purple) are the Expressiveness behavior, Assertiveness behavior and Flexibility behavior.

In Louisiana as a whole, STEP has been used in over 20 schools and with over 1,000 principals. Additionally, the STEP/Emergenetics Model has recently been infused into the state’s system of technical colleges, and is being used to help incoming students as they pursue industry-based certifications and job/career development in the 40 Technical Colleges in the Louisiana State System (Emergenetics LLC, 2014).

Currently, Sullivan College of Technology and Design (SCTD) has begun to integrate the Emergenetics profiles into their school. Allowing SCTD students, faculty and staff to take the test to help better understand each other and make the learning and work environment better for everyone in their decision making and communication skills. As well as, enhancing relationships and academic performance.
