Even her mistakes have a certain purity to them. I remember all of the dumb stuff I did because I wanted to be seen, heard, or understood. When I made a mistake for these reasons, I was almost more ashamed about the revelation of my wants than I was about the mistake itself. Which is why it is so refreshing to watch Lady Bird run headfirst into her mistakes, without shame. She lies about where she lives to a richer, more popular girl and then has to admit the truth when the girl tracks her down to her real, much less impressive home. She trusts the wrong boy to take her virginity and comes to terms with the disappointing revelation that it wasn’t his first time. She has outbursts of temper, especially with her mother, and often overlooks her other’s feelings because she is so tunnel-focused on her own

In my opinion this is one of the best horror movies for me it makes an impression, mystery and intrigue I really like the plot because you don't expect anything of what is going to happen and if you expect something it will be completely different or better than you expected, I highly recommend it

Only sofia coppola could encapsulate so perfectly how having a crush on the worst guy you have ever met is the most fun you can have without taking your clothes off, at least for a little while. The switch from that to the almost incarceration feeling at graceland . Nobody does girlhood better than her.

Clearly liked it a lot more than Breathless. At the end of the day I’m still pretty conflicted on how I feel. Like I love everything about this, the visual language, the editing, the performances, the philosophy in that 11th story. The only thing it’s missing is me giving any sort of 🤬 about this woman. I will say, that final shot is absolutely tragic in the context of the entire film but that can’t be the only time I care about her. Ya know? Still though, I’m sure there’s a Godard for me that I’m gonna love, we’re getting closer.
