Before imperialism took place, nations attempted to steal resources and valuables in other countries in a form of outsmarting them (manipulation, etc). However it did not go as planned. On that account, imperialism began, out of desperation.

According to the Padlet above, nations imperialised other nations for resources and goods they did not have. Most of the higher class/superior nations such as the large European continent wanted to be better then all countries, at the same time they assumed they were better and had more power.

To be very blunt, they act like they run/rule the country - once they arrive, they enslave people and hold them in captive. Some natives attempt to escape their country however there are dangerous consequences. Some died.

Great Britain imperialised the largest number of countries, such as Sudan, South Africa, Nigeria, and a lot more to list. European countries involved were Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, and Portugal.

Throughout my whole learning progress, I have always perceived imperialism as a two sided thing and impact. It is positive because if it weren't for imperialism, conquers, and invasions, some countries wouldn't be the way it is in present day/this generation - a lot of people are completely okay with the world it is today. A lot of things would be different. Imperialism should also be thanked. It is also a negative thing because all nations and countries has its own right to legalise things and do things as they desire, instead of having another nation taking over. Its affected a number of people in which experienced imperialism, back then and today.
Now that I've mentioned that, it seems like a negative.
