Assalamu'alaikum and good evening to all campers and teachers, today i wanna show my experience and expectations during the EIC online camping. At first i thought it was just some online competition that requires you to answer questions from your laptop or other gadgets, but i was wrong, there's alot more to do then that. In this camp you can interact and make new friends with others all across the state and district. It was hard at first, i was so nervous and scared to interact with other or answer any questions in the GM. But with the supports from my teacher and friends, im now alot more confident and brave. Thank you EIC for letting me have this chance to participate and interact with others. EIC ONLINE AWESOME.

Hi I'm Vincent. Today I really had a lot of fun at the ice breaking session. It's so interesting. And also this is my first time to join a camp using devices. Furthermore, I was terribly nervous when a camper called me but I still abled to make a self-introduce and introduce my traditional cuisine. When I was in the camp, I felt relax and cool. I enjoyed myself to the fullest. Although I was exhausted, I was happy as I could have a chance to make some friends, know about many traditional cuisine and so on. Eventhough , I was quite embarrassed when i did some mistakes , but i still be brave and forget about those things! it was a fun and great talking to my fellow friends. Today , i learnt a lot of new knowledge! Especially new knowledge about traditional food , nutrition and others . Most importantly we must be grateful . Everything is still new for me just like the welcoming activity through the GM. 1. I know more about our pretty pengarah and handsome KPPK, PPD, TPPD, and all teachers in Pensiangan as well as Nabawan.

2. I made a lot of new friends via whatsapp group, telegram website and google meeting.

3. I'm so happy to know more or to listen clearly about 40 traditional recipes of Sabah.

4. I get to see the new faces of new EIC teachers and friends virtually.

5. I can do ice breaking activities with fun learning, smoothly and best from me.

6. I can sing happily with all my new friends virtually.

7. I can improve my vocabulary and communication skills in English.

Greetings everyone. I would like to thanked JPN Sabah for organizing Sabah State Level English In Camp and also to PPD Pensiangan as the host for this program.

Good afternoon to the teachers and my fellow candidates for this program.

I'm wishing all of you had a wonderful day.

It is my pleasure to introduce myself to all of you.

I am Jade Nathania James.

I was born and raised in Beluran, Sabah.

I am 10 years old. I live with my lovely family which are my parents and my 6 siblings.

My grandmother also staying with us and I love her to be around here with us.

During my free time, I love to read, cooking and singing.

Sometimes, I also helped my mom doing some house chores and gardening.

My favorite hobby is reading . It gives me a lot of knowledge. I purchase all of books with my own pocket money. I like to read books. I read fairy tales books, Encyclopedia books and recipe books. I spend my free time to reading. It gives me a lot information about culture, history, science and foods.

When I grow up, I would love to become an English teacher since I love English subject in school.

My life motto is "Make your life a masterpiece, imagine no limitations on what you can be, have or do".

I am inspired with this motto and I want to do something with all my heart and put all my efforts in it.

For instance, in participating English in Camp program, I will do my best as a representative of all the primary schools in this district.

Today, I would like to share briefly my chosen menu for Sabahan famous traditional cuisine recipes. They are Hinava and Nasi Linopot. I choose the menu becauseThese recipes are famous among Kadazan Dusun ethnic in Sabah. Their taste was so delicious and great. Its all dancing in my mouth and I am satisfied with the flavor.

Hinava is can best be described as a fish salad like Yee sang in Chinese foods. Thin slices of fish, most often tenggiri or mackerel, are tossed in a variation or mixture of the following: chili, ginger, bitter gourd, and most importantly, lime dressing.

The acidity in the lime “cooks the fish” and turns the flesh a beautiful milky white color.

Some eat, it as an appetizer, but it is also commonly served as a main dish with rice.

For Linopot, the steamed fragrant rice is mixed with boiled yams or sweet potato so it takes on a purplish or brown hue from the root vegetables. Linopot means 'wrapped' in English. The rice will be wrapped in a Doringin leaf, that's why our ancestors called it Nasi Linopot. We can also eat linopot rice with the side dishes such as losun with salted fish and bambangan.

Tanak sabahan can do it. Yeayyyy...........

As far as im concern, i think this English in Camp will give a big impact to me but on a good way!!💗
At the beginning of ice breaking,i felt really nervous but after I found out that all the EIC participant is very friendly, the feel of nervous in my chest slowly disappear and I'm really thankful for that✨
In my opinion throughout this camp EIC,I can see that all of the participants is really intelligent!!
I also obtain many knowledge about 40 traditional food,thank you to my online friend!! 💗
Even though I didnt have a good grammar, i will still try my best!!

Hello Sabah... Great to know all of you.
This is my first journal of my live... Hehe.. but I just love to try something new. What was happenning yesterday?? Aaahhh yes, we were having fun time through the Google Meet. Glad to know most of you during almost 3 hours of virtual get to know activity.

I have learned few things yesterday...

1. Never afraid of talking about myself... Yeah... I can consider myself lucky. I was the last boy to talk in the meeting... Somehow it gave me more confidence in speaking with you all.

2. There is a lot of local food in Sabah. And I am proud to say that as young boys and girls, we were exposed to such variety dishes... Can wait to ask my mum prepare them for me... Haha

First of all I feel very proud to be one of the participants for EIC 2021 even virtually. During the meet and greet session yesterday, at first I felt very impatient and nervous at the same time.
When it was my turn, I was suddenly speechless. Even though I was very willing before. I forgot the YELL I had practiced before. I was sad and embarrassed.
But thankfully my Mom did not stop giving encouragement. Thanks also to my guidance teacher who provided words of encouragement.
Finally after I calmed down, I was able to continue my turn to introduce myself. My Mom said, every experience will make us grow.
I was very happy to get to know all of you. I get to know many types of traditional foods. I hope this program will run smoothly and will provide a sweet and rewarding experience for all of us. All the best to all of us.

Done my video recording this morning. Thanks mum, thanks dad for helping me. Really appreciate it. And I just finished doing my impromptu writing about My Favourite Traditional Food. Wrote more than 100 words... Hahaha...

I have learned:
1. Prepare myself in any situation. What happen today, I wrote my text smoothly because I have done my video recording and I still remember some of the content of my script.
