  • Cerebral Aneurysm is a cardiovascular disorder that weakens the wall of cerebral vessels causing them to ballon outward.
  • With the blood constantantly pushing against the arery wall it caused the wall to become thin and weak
  • The cause of an aneurysm may be heriditary or an aquired disease
  • The Circle of Willis is the most common location of a saccular aneurysm due to smaller vessels linking to larger ones
  • Brain aneurysm has both genetic and environmental risk factors, most common being hypertesion and smoking
  • Most aneurysms are asymptomatic, but when it ruptures it may be fatal, and are not treated until they become fatal
  • When it ruptures it is called a subarachnoid hemorrhage.
