         <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned that yeast is a type of unicellular fungi that relies on sugar from it's environment to get energy. When yeast does not have oxygen, it does fermentation, where it absorbs sugar and gives off carbon dioxide and some alcohol, but allows it to continue producing energy. Many bread recipes rely on yeast to break down sugar, but the produces are carbon dioxide, which are the air bubbles in bread, and a bit of alcohol that evaporates during the baking progress.</div>]]></description>

The sugar molecules are then broken into smaller molecules that are absorbed by the yeast and used as food Carbon dioxide and alchacol are both waste products of the yeast. Fermentation is when glycolisis happens without oxygen. athere are 2 types of fermentation. The formula for fermentation is C6H 12O 6  +  2CH3CH 2 2CO2.  The experiment showed that the more sugar that there is per yeats, the less carbon dioxide is released. But if there is no sugar then no carbon dioxide will be released, because the yeast releases carbon dioxide after consuming sugar.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
