Andrew played a huge role in the expansion of the American steel industry. He was also the leading philanthropist in the United states and Great Britain. He worked as a stalk broker and was consider one of the robber Barons of the Gilded age. Most of his ill fame comes from Black Friday and befriending the President Ulysses S. Grant. he used this friendship to corner the gold market in New York city. He loved art and loved Coke more. Henry was a huge part in making the coke industry and U.S. steel industry. Henry even has his own art museum. Its pretty clear he succeeded and made himself rich because of his investment of time and money. He was shaped by a con man father and religious mother. John did not mine for oil though, instead he refined it and started his own oil company in 1870.
