PLAYDATE stands for People Learning and Asking Y: Digital Age Teacher Exploration.

After attending conferences and having the good fortune to learn about “a myriad of new tools, websites, tricks and apps,” upon returning to school, teachers often express that there is no time to experiment with them. During this session, the focus is on exploring technologies to learn more about them.

The UDL Tech Toolkit has so many tools for teachers. As a reading specialist, I am excited to try CommonLit and Into the Book with my third and fourth graders. I think that Doorway Speller would be a great MTSS strategy, and Unite for Literacy would be awesome for our EL learners since it could be read aloud in their native language and English.
