         <description><![CDATA[<div>Athena - she was the one who most helped Odysseus on his journey by assisting him in many fights, as well as helping him get back to Ithaca by disguising him, "As for my change of skin, that is a charm Athena, Hope of Soldiers," (Homer lines 1052-1053).<br>Teiresias - Mostly gave a warning to&nbsp; the troubles that awaited Odysseus and his men, as well as how to make right of the wrong doing he has done, "make fair sacrifice to Lord Poseidon" (Homer line 663)<br>Circe - they helped by giving Odysseus advice on several troubles and forecasts of tragedies happening to Odysseus and his men, "Circe foresaw for us and shared with me, so let me tell her forecast: then we die with our eyes open" (Homer lines 687-689)&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Here the gods weren't fully in Odysseus favor by making it harder to travel the sea "Now Zeus the lord of cloud roused in the north a storm against, ships, and driving veils of squall moved down like night on land and sea.'          <description><![CDATA[<div>During the cyclops Odysseus must really prove his intelligence to escape the cannibal Polyphemus "Even Cyclopes know the wine grape grow out of grassland and loam in heaven's rain, but here's a bit of nectar and ambrosia!' (Homer lines 307-309). Ironically a God goes against Odysseus because of him hurting Polyphemus because its Poseidon's son "At this he stretched&nbsp; his hands out and prayed Poseidon' (Homer lines 482-483).</div>]]></description>

(Homer) But this yet another test they fail because they can't follow simple instructions,  but Aeolus and the gods send them away anyways, "Aeolus casts them out, having decided that they are detested by the gods."
