Common Physical activity in China consists of:
- Karate, Kung Fu & many other martial Arts
- Table Tennis
- Football
- Basketball
- Badminton

Exercise in Schools
In Chinese schools they do daily physical exercise. This exercise is mandatory for the students to participate in. The students stand in straight, evenly spaced lines and they all do the same exercise at the exact same time. Most of these exercises are not strenuous as one school performs eye exercises (this is quite common amongst other schools).

Poor diet and cancer are a growing concern in China compared to issues such as TB and measles just 20 years ago. Since 1990, rapid improvements in health have led to fewer infectious diseases, but health problems from smoking and high blood pressure are increasingly a problem. High Blood Pressure could be due to the amount of salt and msg the Chinese consume.

The Chinese commonly live off mainly grain, vegtables and small portions of meat (see image below) . This is due to their produce, supply and easy access of specific foods around china and neighbouring countries. In the north of China wheat flour (buns, bread) is the staple food of that region, while in the South the staple food is rice.

Chinese Meals
Chinese meals typically include carbohydrates- starch like noodles, rice or buns with stir fries or dishes of many fresh Vegetables, fish and other meat.

Ancient Chinese Culture is older than 5000 years. Chinese Religion, Philosophy and Politics: Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism have left a collective and lasting impression on Chinese culture and tradition. Confucianism propagated “Ren” (Love) and “Li” (rituals), signifying respect for society and social hierarchy.

Culture and Diet
The Chinese culture also affects the diet of Chinese people. All (except one) of the Chinese festivals have custom foods eaten on that day/period of time, festivals such as; Chinese New Year, Lantern Festival, Dragon boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.
