Cultural background: Canadian and Irish

The song is highlighting the shifting gender roles in our society.  

I believe she is using the stereotypes of men and women in the marriage setting, and pulling apart from that ideal.  

The song doesn't really give hope, I don't think.  It is just a really fun song to listen to, and she kind of mocks men.

Shania Twain's, "Honey, I'm Home" gives motivation to do better by yourself.  I believe she wants women to raise their standards and take care of themselves by relaxing as well.  She wants women to know that they don't have to fall into the stereotypical gender roles.

The song sends the message, that no matter who you are or what you've done God loves you and knows you.

I don't think it is a stereotypical song.  She's singing about God's love for her, and all he has done in her life.

Yes, it gives a great amount of hope.  There could be someone feeling down and be uplifted after listening to this beautiful song.

Herself and her song are both very inspiring.  She inspires people to look to God, because that is really all they need.

The song implies that he really likes a woman that is rich and more privileged, but he knows what he has to offer, and feels that she will love him for who his is.  

I don't feel this song perpetuates stereotypes.  He is just singing about how he is as good of a man as any other.

This song probably does give hope to others and inspire them to be confident enough in themselves to never feel that they aren't good enough for someone.

Michael Lewis was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He later moved to London to attend college.  

The Blind Side sends readers the message that no matter their race; we all should love and care for one another.

I think the movie does perpetuate stereotypes, but it is portrayed by other people in the movie, not the family that took Michael in.  They truly loved him; he was their child.

The movie gives hope to us all.  As I watch this movie, I hope there are more people in this world like in the movie.  
The movie inspires and motivates us to live better, and be more caring of others.

Gruwell was born and raised in California.  
She wrote a book and later was turned into the movie, Freedom Writers.  

The movie sends the message that no matter your situation or circumstances, you can accomplish anything.  It also shows how much teachers can accomplish, when they believe in their students.  

Gruwell went above and beyond to encourage and push her students to success.  I believe she steered clear of the stereotypical views. Most teachers had deemed her students unteachable.  

She gave so many students hope that they could be somebody.  Gruwell's students were going through so much in their home lives that they felt going to school was useless for them.  

Freedom Writers is very inspirational and motivational for young students and teachers.  It inspires students to try hard, succeed, and never lose hope of what they can accomplish.  It also motivates teachers to be better role models and inspiration for their students.
