An auteur is said to be present in every film that they make. 

Fincher can be considered an auteur due to his us of repeated stylistic features throughout his feature films. An example of this is his dislike for hand-held cameras, much preferring the use of fixed, stationary and dolly shots in his films. (skip to 1:37 in 'And the Other Way is Wrong and stop at 3:00)

His feature films also use some of the same actors, for example Brad Pitt has worked on 3/9 of Fincher's films. Fincher also uses the same crew to work on the post production of his films; he's worked with the same editor, Angus Wall, on 5/9 films, showing the control Fincher has over his work.
