Impacts of colonization, no matter how brutal, is not always negative. In a way even though it's against our will, it makes the culture diverse. For example, the Spaniards invaded our country for more than 300 years. Because of that, a lot of Filipinos have spanish blood. Our language is also similar to theirs. Through their colonization, we inherited their food, a little bit of their culture and language. Though, that also means that they are only a few full-blooded Filipinos around. Filipinos also prefer imported things, which means that lesser and lesser people buy products from
local companies which eventually experiences bankruptcy. Colonization also affects our way of living and our social
experiences as they brought their language, literature, laws and religions to us.

If the government continues with the unfair treatment between the poor and the rich. The lack of justice for the poor. The empty promises made by government officials. Basically the obvious inequality that most Filipinos are currently experiencing. Filipinos are Filipinos. Everyone is difficult to discipline. I think a few things are going to change. People might be more careful in electing/voting people when time comes. The justice system could be improved, but maybe a little. Government officials especially the higher-ups and the ones working for peace and justice in the community would be looked after more. Most importantly, the citizens would be united to work and fight for a better life.

I would feel worried for them. They’re my family members and I love them. Even if we weren’t close I would be worried for them. Since they haven’t reached out in so long, one would start to overthink. Jumping into conclusions about what happened to them. But another feeling I would experience is a sense of pride and patriotism. I’m sure no one's happy with going into war but they did something. They made an impact no matter how little and they fought for the citizens and the country.

It would make me feel like I took my lifestyle before the war for granted. We were too comfortable, that's why we’re struggling now. That’s why it’s important to always save up, no matter how little. I would also feel bad for my mother since even though she wants to make the situation better for us, she really can’t do anything. The only thing all of us can do is pray that the war has a good result and everything will go back to normal as soon as possible.

I would feel a lot of anxiety, panic and a lot of fear. Nobody knows or nobody can predict how a war could end unless it’s done. Or if it would even end. Anxiety because family or friends could be drafted to war, overthinking about what will happen if the war ends and how we are going to recover from it. Panic because of uncertainty of the events and fear because what if going to the shelter does nothing? What if we get hurt by the enemies? Plus going through war and the repercussions of it, along with all that trauma that has been put upon you? Just thinking about it makes me feel depressed.
