I live in Los Angeles which is 6 hours away from San Jose so I could not live at home while being at school. I had to stay in the dorms so I could attend my classes. I have stayed in the dorms for my first 3 years. We would get food and do some homework or talk before we had to go to class again. The upper 3 levels (6th, 7th, and 8th) are the quiet floors which means we have to whisper or not talk at all because those are the floors designated to be quiet. When I needed to stay up late to study for my exams, I would go up to the 7th or 8th floor so I could concentrate on my studies and not be distracted by noise or people trying to talk loud with their friends. In the mornings, before I had class, I would love to go to the gym to work out. If I woke up late, then I would go later in the day after my classes. The SRAC has two floors with different working out machines and a running track. It also has a basketball court and an indoor soccer court.
