This photo was taken by Byron Rollins in 1945 in Buchenwald, Germany. It displays people being liberated from a concentration camp that was used during the Holocaust. It underlines the evil within the Nazi party by portraying upwards of 20 children being freed from this camp. A value of this photo is the evidence that the Nazis did not exclude anyone from the Jewish population from being taken; this included children. However the source does serve a limitation which is that the photo does not include a large amount of content. It only shows what the outside looks like and we don't get a great understanding of how concentration camps were like for people of younger ages. In conclusion, this source shows that there was no extent to the Nazi Party's evil, but doesn't show what they had to endure.

This poster was made by Jack Betts and distributed in 1943 by the VFW in the United States. In the post, the United States is trying to spread information to its people that the Germans and Japanese are against the American government and are trying to spread propaganda. The purpose of this poster was to convince the citizens of the United States to not believe the propaganda that the Germans and Japanese were spreading. One value of this source in relation to origin is that it was made in the time period of World War 2 were the United States were in fact enemies to the Nazi regime and Japan. One limitation of this source in regard to content is that the poster contains only the opinion and perspective of the United States. The viewer of this source would not exactly know what had happened because the story is only being told from one side.

This poster was designed by Jack Betts and distributed in 1943 by Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. This poster was used to warn the public about the negative effects of enemy propaganda. It depicted caricatures of Hitler and the Japanese emperor whispering into the ears of what we assume to be an American, with the caption "Don't Fall for Enemy Propaganda". A value of this source is the type of source it is. The fact that this is a primary source lets us learn more about the time period it was created. A limitation is the fact that we aren't able to see how the general public reacted to this source or the sort of impact, if it had any, it had.

This photograph was taken by Byron Rollins on April 17, 1945 in Buchenwald, [Thuringia] Germany. The child survivors of Buchenwald are being escorted out the main gate of the camp by American soldiers. This photograph consists of many chain links on top of the roof. The purpose of the photo is to show the heroism of American soldiers. One value of this source is the origin, since it is a primary source which was taken as this was happening. This photograph also shows us what the soldiers were doing and what they were responsible for at the camps.

This poster was created by Jack Betts and spread by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States in 1943. The poster consist of a man being fed information by both a Japanese general and Hitler "The poster uses the caricatured faces of Nazi dictator, Adolf Hitler, and Japanese emperor, Hirohito, whispering into a man’s ear as symbols of enemy propaganda reaching the American public." We are able to identify these two individuals by the stereotypical "buck teeth" a Japanese person might have and the swastika on Hitler's hat. This poster was intended for American's to feel united and to ignore the fearful messages of Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany.

This photograph was taken by Byron Rollins in 1945 of Buchenwald, Germany. It shows Jewish survivors of the Buchenwald concentration camp being escorted out by American soldiers. We think this source was created to show how cruel the Nazis were by sending many children to these concentration camps and based on the photo we conclude that there was no space in the concentration camp so these children were essentially squeezed together in small spaces. One limitation is that it was taken by an American photographer, so the photographer could've made it seem like the American soldiers were heroes and that they saved these children.

This photo was taken by Byron Rollins on April 17, 1945 in Buchenwald, Germany. The description of the poster explains the individuals who had suffered in these concentration camps, where a majority were children. There were around 1000 Jewish children rescued by the American soldiers. Most of the children were originally from Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, and Ruthenia. They sent the children to France, England, and Switzerland for refuge. The purpose of the source would be that it shows that the Nazis sent a lot of children to concentration camps. A value of the source would be that this photo illustrates that many children were sent to concentration camps which means that they were not excluded by the Nazis. A limitation of this source would be that it is a primary source since the photograph was taken while it was happening.

This poster was created by Jack Betts in 1943. The poster includes two caricatures on the right and left of the American figure in the center. The caricature on the left of the American is a depiction of Hitler. The purpose of the poster is to create unity between the American people against a common enemy and promote nationalism among Americans. One value of this source is it shows us how America sought to promote the effort of the war. One limitation of the source is that it is purely propaganda with the intention of making Japanese people seem off putting by using racial stereotypes and intentional design choices.
