8.9.25 ABCs: SAQ circuit, effective movements

Today in PE we worked on our balance skills , moving in different ways which needed balance and then trying to balance in one position building up our strength.

In PE we are working on our throwing skills we first mastered rolling then moved on to under arm throwing gradually moving further away from our partners.

We worked on our basic skills of running,jumping and balance to move in different ways we worked as a team helping build on important team work skills .

Today we continued to use our basic skills. We worked on our throwing and catching we waved at our partners to make sure they were ready then threw under arm we worked in pairs then tried to pass the ball all the way around the circle in small groups .

Year 2 were able to weave in and out of the cones dribbling a ball ,they were able to change direction and ensure they held the stick with two hands with their thumbs pointing down we also played some mini 2v2 matches building up skill and confidence.

14-1-26 Paralympics tournament

Today we competed in our house teams in a variety of Paralympic sports led by Year 5 and Year6 Rights respecting sports team.

Today year 2 worked on improving their hockey skills by changing the direction of travel between the cones and gaining speed as they travel .They also worked on their ability to stop the ball we then finished the session by playing 4x4 matches.

Today we practised making different shapes and perfecting the sequence to our forward rolls; pencil, tuck, hands, bottom, roll. We practised one roll and one finishing shape, roll into shape

Today the children moved whilst dribbling a basket ball they demonstrated control and were able to perform low bounces and perform spins when they reached a space the children practised using two hands when dribbling and even managed to do a spin when reaching a space.
