I learnt how to identify who I am. Our identity comes from how we define ourselves and how others define us. Some ways to identify us are, Nationality, Society, Family, Loved ones, Ethnicity, Race, Beliefs and ideologies, etc.

I learnt what stereotypes are. Stereotypes are assumptions or generalised beliefs about a person based on what people from a similar group might 'typically' be like. It is also mostly based on assumptions rather than on facts, which makes in negative most of the time.

I learnt about the consequences of stereotyping on social media. Stereotyping on social media may result in others joining in by liking, commenting or sharing the post. This will lead to cancellation with the target's reputation or even affect their livelihood. People of different opinions will become more divided into the opposing groups. At times, personal attacks are directed from one group to another.

I learnt about our shared journey as a country and some values. For example, Multiculturalism, Boldness, Resilience and Openness. Our national is evolving due to changing demographics, generational shifts, renewed mindsets about our values and aspirations. The population make-up has changed significantly in recent decades due to ageing population, shrinking birth rates, immigration policy changes.

I learnt about what the roles of national symbols and celebrations are for. For example, the national flower, The Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid was chosen as Singapore's national flower for its resilience and adaptability. We can foster a sense of shared national pride by taking pride in the country's national success, technological advancements and international recognition, celebrating the diverse cultures and traditions that contribute to Singapore's unique identity and emphasising on racial harmony and its success in maintaining peaceful coexistence among different ethnic and religious groups is a source of national pride.
