The introduction to the distributor is minimal and simplistic. It is white in colour against a fully black background because the text is intended to be the main focus so the frame isn't busy. The text is also placed in the centre of the screen to emphasise the minimalism It is a serif font, it is not written in italics and the first letter of every word is capitalized, therefore it is a regular font.

Here, the title of the film is displayed. It is mostly white but with red outlining, is a bold serif font and is placed central in the frame in front of the first shot of the setting. The shot introduces us to the setting but still focuses our attention on the text; it is the most important therefore is written in a bold font and in full capitalisation.

"New Years Eve"

Here the date in which the opening sequence is set is displayed in the same serif font that is used for the distributor's name. However, here it has an outer glow to symbolise the event in the sequence; it is New Years Eve therefore it is more-than-likely that there will be a heavy use of party lights and a use of low-key lighting to create a night-time glow so the texture of the font symbolises this. It is also the first piece of text to be placed at the bottom of the screen in the centre, a style that will be used throughout the opening credits. The position of the text on the screen leaves space for an audience to see the scene therefore the text isn't meant to be the most important thing we see on the screen; our attention isn't distracted like it is in the previous shot. The use of the text being placed over the scene rather than in a separate opening credits sequence gives us the impression of a television film rather than a cinema film.

"Starring: Zac Efron"

The serif font is in the same style of the previous shot. Therefore, it creates a sense of familiarity. It is in the bottom central region of the screen and introduces the actors for the first time, however the word "Starring" is placed slightly higher and smaller than the actor's name to make his name the most important piece of text on the screen. It is white and minimalistic to keep it basic and not distract the audience's attention away from the scene too much. This style is also used to introduce the crew's names, such as the writer and the director.

These two actor's names together tell us that they are supporting characters because their name's are not displayed individually. They are of the same serif font and positioning within the screen as previous shots, however Corbin Bleu's name is of the same font size as Monique's Coleman because their names are equally important compared to the word "Starring" above Zac Efron's.
