However, the 800,000 Allied Men were ready for the Germans. The Germans ran out of ammo and men quickly so it was a big win for the Allies.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>February 19, 1945 – March 26, 1945<br>A battle where the American Troops wanted to take control of Iwo Jima land so they could easily transport ammo and other resources to the mainland. The Japanese were ready however planting bombs in man made tunnels. The americans came away with a big win as it was one of the finally battle in the war. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>April 1940- through end of war<br>Auschwitz played a big part in the war. This camp was used for the torture and killing of the Jewish population. Hitler's big plan was to terminate the Jewish Population.  So in Auschwitz they would break people up into the jail, the gas chambers, and the work area where they would do what they were told to. A total of 4.1 million people were killed in the Auschwitz gas chambers. </div>]]></description>

They started out testing planes to see if they were good for combat. Night Witches had no parachutes so when it was there turn to fight they flew very close to the ground.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>August 6, 1945<br>On August 6, 1945, an American B-29 bomber dropped the world’s first deployed atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. It killed an estimated 80,000 people. The bomb destroyed anything within a mile of it epicenter. These bombs caused Japan to finally surrender. </div>]]></description>
