A second factor is a formula called the "golden ratio", which is a series of calculations that your brain distinguishes as a human face, which normally falls to the face being 1.5x long as it is wide, and uses the same calculation to distance between features. (National Geographic, 2015). I think honestly, they factor in the way they do only because of them being the innermost foundation of our "brain code", if you wanna call it that.
