The current curriculum that is being implemented in Deped now is the Matatag curriculum that focuses on strengthening foundational skills like reading, math, and life skills which I can say are the basic needs of a student. Relating to the question above, under this Matatag curriculum, I have observed that students' everyday schedule has a 45 minutes time for literacy and numeracy skill reinforcements. Aside from this, same with the old curriculum, there is a TLE subject also to teach the students with life skills.
