         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>The first wave of the attack was felt at 7:48 A.M. Hawaiian Time and the attack only lasted about two hours. Six aircraft carriers were used to launch a total of 353 Japanese bombers, fighter, and torpedo planes and they sunk four U.S. battleships while damaging all eight of them.&nbsp; Over 2,000 Americans died and over 1,000 others were wounded.</strong></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>You can visit the memorial where the attack took place . There are three parts to the memorial: the entry, assembly room, and shrine. In the assembly room, visitors can look out into the harbor and see white markers showing where the ships were anchored o as well as parts of the USS Arizona that rise above the water. In one area, the bottom of the memorial has been removed so you can look down on the wreck of the USS Arizona below.&nbsp; Many say its a very interesting visit but many say its very sad .</p>]]></description>
