However, I was able to take what was presented and apply it towards my students. I teach a grade 1/2 class. My students, no matter how much I modeled and gave examples did not want to sound out letters. I have noticed that since taking this workshop my students are now sounding out letters building on their phonemic awareness and blending the sounds together.
